New Dog Owner Resource
If you’re a new dog parent, congrats! You’re in for a lifetime of love, play and belly rubs. To make the journey smoother, here are some quick tips and resources to help you and your pup feel confident. I know it can feel overwhelming at first, especially if you’re trusting someone to come into your home and care for your pup. That’s why I put together this guide: to help you feel confident, prepared and supported.
Disclaimer*- I provide in-home sitting only, because I believe dogs are happiest and least stressed when cared for in their own environment. Plus, my own pup prefers not to share his space so your dog gets my full focus, right in the comfort of home.

What to expect with a sitter
Your dog may act more shy, bark more than usual, or seem unsure the first time they’re with a sitter and that’s completely normal. Dogs are sensitive to new environments and people, so patience is key.
• I take time to let your pup come to me on their terms, using treats, toys and calm body language to build trust.
• You’ll receive photo / text updates during each sit or walk so you know exactly how your pup is doing.
• Most dogs settle in faster than owners expect, once they realize playtime and snuggles are on the schedule, tails start wagging.

Peace of Mind in Your Home
I know how important it is to feel comfortable with someone caring for your dog and being in your home. Here’s how I help build that trust:
• Clear Instructions → I follow your directions carefully (feeding, walks, quirks, routines).
• Home Respect → I treat your home with the same care and respect I do my own.
• Transparency → If you’d like, you’re welcome to use in-home cameras for extra peace of mind.
• Updates → You’ll get regular photos and messages, so you always know your pup is safe and happy.
